“I have previously installed click-and-lock laminate flooring. I chose these adhesive vinyl planks for application in a basement because of the possible water exposure. Installation is very easy, once the floor was prepped (removing dirt, burrs, anything that would be incompatible with adhesive). Just peel away the backing and push into place. The nice thing about this flooring versus click-laminate is that you can easily cut the plank with a razor and test-fit into place before exposing the adhesive. Once installed the planks have a nice, wood floor appearance. The only cons (not really the fault of the planks) are that sometimes the edges can come up slightly, but that's more due to an uneven floor or bad prep. Even if the edge does come up, one can just reclean and reapply extra glue. Also, sometimes the wax paper backing would tear prematurely, which meant me having to use a razor to remove the left over backing.”
